Powder Coating

Powder coating offers many advantages over other finishes and can be used to add colour or for the refurbishment of a wide range of products. The powder is made of finely ground resins and pigments and is applied using an electrostatic spray gun. The gun applies a charge to the powder as it is sprayed, which makes the powder stick to the product. The item is then heated to a temperature of 400-450 F, this completes the process and bonds the powder in film form to the product.

Our dedicated ‘Reliant Systems’ Powder Coating booth and Oven sit alongside our ‘Gema Optiflex 2’ Powder Gun, the market leading piece of equipment for hand-held powder application. Paired with our powerful Eaton compressor it comprises a high end setup guaranteed to supply a top quality finish to any item.

We carry a large stock of powder and sample charts are available in our office. Powder can be ordered specific to a customers needs. Many different colours, textures and finishes are available.

What Are The Advantages Of Powder Coating?

Powder coating is a tougher and more flexible coating and is less liable to chip or peel than a conventional wet paint. Powder coatings will give an even appearance over a large area and will not exhibit the characteristic evidence of the direction of application found with wet paints.
