Pricing

While powder coating is not cheap due to the preparation processes involved, our aim is to be as up-front with the customer as possible about costs. We will give you a quotation for the completed job, and stick to that price!

There are many variables and options available which will affect the overall cost of a job. The most important is what condition is it in now? If your item is powder coated or painted already then it will be more expensive to refurbish than a piece of raw metal due to the removal processes involved. If your item has been in contact with oil (ie engine casings) or salt water, or is heavily corroded then an additional process of ‘outgassing’ will be required, which will increase the cost for that item.

A minimum charge of $100 applies per color. This is due to the cleanup time involved with a job or changing colors in the spray booth.

All our prices are + sales tax at 7%. Payment is due on collection before goods are released, after customer inspection. A deposit may be required if powder needs to be ordered in advance.

The best way to get an accurate price is to contact us via email or text message including a picture of the item so we can assess the required work and get right back to you.

Shop rate $120 / hr ($2 per minute)

Shop rate applies to sand / vapor blasting services only. We do not give a fixed price for blasting as it is impossible to assess how long it will take. We charge accurately by the minute so you will only pay for what it takes.

Powder Coating

We will offer a fixed price on jobs to be powder coated.

The ‘Prismatic Powders‘ website is an excellent place to start choosing your color and desired finish.

The price you are quoted will include all preparation, blasting, and a single coat of powder application. We stock a wide range of colors in the shop – ie blacks, whites, reds, blues etc. Extra coats are charged at +50%, this includes clear coat often required for metallic, illusion, candy or gold & silver colors.
